In 1997, American Magnetics' name was changed to Group 4 Securitas Technology Corporation. A major milestone was reached in 1999 when Group 4's AMAG brand Access Control System was selected for installation in the Pentagon. Since then, AMAG has been involved in some of the world's largest and most complex smart card and biometric access control projects for both public and private entities. In February of 2003, the company's name was changed to AMAG Technology.
